Huck & Peck Furniture, located in Chattanooga, TN, is a luxury home design and decor store, specializing in creating a unique shopping experience while you bring beauty into your home.
Huck and Peck was named after Michael Turner's grandparents. Huck, grandpa, grew up as Charles in Decatur, GA and earned his nickname from family and friends after he ran away from home. He actually escaped up a tree in the front yard.
Peck grew up as Margaret in a small town near Macon, GA. She earned her nickname from her grandfather because her persistent questions reminded him of a woodpecker. Huck and Peck met in Atlanta and fell in love; they discovered they both had family nicknames that would stay with them the rest of their lives. They were soon inseparable and they moved back to Peck's family home in middle Georgia after Huck returned from the Army Air Corps during WWII.
"My grandfather took a chance to go out on his own as a manufacturer’s representative with my grandmother as his home office manager. He traveled across Georgia and was well known by businessmen who were his clients. Although he died in 1973, in 1990 a Gubernatorial candidate described Huck Broyles as his hero growing up – in part because he was classy, but also because everyone trusted him. My inspiration about business and home environments come from them!" - Michael Turner, Owner
